Introduced in 1867, Ceylon Tea has grown to be the top agriculture export in Sri Lanka and provides direct and indirect employment to nearly 1 million people while around 4% of the country’s land area is covered in tea plantations amounting to nearly 203000 hectares. Sri Lanka is an island made for tea.
In this tour we shall climb the roads of the hill country of Sri Lanka and witness the marvelous journey of a tea leaf been turned in to the exotic drink that we love, also in this tour we shall be visiting few tea factories and see their work process, and the most valued part of the tour is few night stay in an actual classic tea factory hotel.
